You will establish a career where you will have the freedom to learn, achieve your ambitions and leave your mark on the communities in which we work.As a Trainee Civil Engineer, you will become a part of the infrastructure water team on the new Cambridge Relocation Scheme. This is a new major project for Anglian Water that involves designing and constructing a new greenfield Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will support future economic development in the Greater Cambridge area and create a sustainable water and recycling service.What you'll do:

  • Surveying the site and setting out for the construction operatives
  • Checking the quality of construction operatives' work
  • Producing permits such as permits to excavate, or vegetation clearance permits
  • Managing daily diary of site activities and attending morning shift briefings
  • Developing practical understanding of the importance of health and safety and the environmental requirements involved in civil engineering
What you'll bring to the role:
  • 3 A-levels at Grade A - C, preferably Maths and a Physical Science, BTEC Extended National Diploma or equivalent level 3 qualification.
  • 5 GCSEs at Grades 5-9 including Maths, English and Science or their equivalent for us to successfully enrol you on the apprenticeship
  • You will enjoy working with other people
  • Enthusiasm to learn
What qualification will you be studying towards?Degree Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering at a local University to the project on a weekly or block release basis.You will also work towards the Incorporated Civil Engineer (IEng MICE) professional qualification with the support of Skanska's ICE accredited Training Agreement.What we offer:
