Are you a motivated, detail-orientated Dealership Accountant, looking to grow your career in accounting while contributing to the success of respected, award-winning dealerships? We are now looking for an experienced Dealership Accountant to be based at our Doncaster site.

We offer full-time hours with a competitive salary dependent on experience.

The Role - what will I be doing?



As a Dealership Accountant, you will play a vital role in the production of accurate and timely management accounts and monitor the financial performance of each department within your area of responsibility.

You will report to the Group Accounts Manager and work closely with our Accounts teams across the Group.

You will do this by:



- Producing accurate and timely monthly Management Accounts and Balance Sheet reconciliations

- Liaise with the accounts team to ensure they are fully aware of all financial issues

- Preparation and submission of the Manufacturer composites to their deadlines

- Contributing to the effective operation and development of the dealerships by providing advice and information on financial matters

- You will oversee the reconciliation of the balance sheet and ensure any discrepancies are communicated to the Group Accounts Manager

- Assist in ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and up to date

- Prepare annual business plans in conjunction with the management team

- Co-ordinate and attend vehicle and parts stock checks

- Prepare files and assist with the Year end audit

- Identify and lead opportunities for financial control improvement

- Lead on any ad-hoc projects relating to the accounts function

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

- Good organisational skills

- Ability to work on own initiative

- Motor Retail experience essential

- Confidence using Excel and other Microsoft Packages
