What you will do
We\'re currently looking to recruit Mechanical Craft Team Members for our Port Talbot site. Within the role, you will perform preventative maintenance and inspection work and provide expertise and resource to identify and rectify faults in complex systems to ensure manufacturing continuity.
As a Mechanical Craft Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring all activity is undertaken within Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and in compliance with company and legislative requirements. You will work as part of a team to ensure engineering performance on an ongoing basis, support engineering development plans and identify opportunities for improvement.
The Mechanical Craft Team Member will service and refurbish key critical items of plant in line with our preventative maintenance programme.
What you will need
You\'ll be qualified to ONC/NVQ 3 level, which will have normally been obtained through a craft apprenticeship in Mechanical engineering or hold a Modern Apprenticeship certificate.
As a Mechanical Craft Team Member, you\'ll have relevant plant experience in mechanical systems with experience of turbine systems and maintenance is preferred. You\'ll hold a good working knowledge & experience of rotating plant systems, inspection schedules & experience of plant condition monitoring - vibration, temperature etc.
We require applicants to have the ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and be computer literate. The ability to work without close supervision, yet under pressure and to tight timescales is essential.
