Data Quality Technical Analyst Developer

As a Barclays Data Quality Technical Analyst Developer, you will be joining the team at an exciting time. To Support the Data Cleansing & Matching team with development, testing, implementation activities and maintenance of the Matching estate to meet all the functional requirements and latest standards/controls. The role focuses on real-time technology/applications based around Java APIs & Service Mesh. We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?

• You will assist in Software testing of data cleansing & matching components
• Using your good understanding of development of software testing automation in your day to day role
• Using your knowledge of migration and managing deployments of software components built by the team to test & production environments
• Maintaining the real-time frameworks (e.g. upgrading/patching versions of aPaaS/Service Mesh/Java)
• Supporting any of the team\xe2\x80\x99s virtual or physical machines/servers, environments, databases

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Experience in Java/API testing techniques/methodology and tools (Unix Scripting, SQL)
• Knowledge of Nexus repositories, Jenkins, JIRA, Service Mesh / aPaaS infrastructure build, deployment & maintenance
• Good understanding of Service Mesh / aPaaS infrastructure build, deployment & maintenance
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision on a variety of tasks at latter stages of the project life cycle

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Java language v8 or higher, Spring, Spring Boot, AWS building and deploying
• Understanding of testing for Abinitio ETL technology processes
• Experience and understanding of complex data quality subject matter and techniques
• Data Quality software, tools & techniques

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
