- Data Engineer
- Outside IR35
- Experience of R&D/scientific data or research informatics
My global client has an immediate need for a Data Engineer on a 6 month outside IR35 contract. There will be a requirement for 1 day a fortnight on site in Bracknell for this position.
Key skills -
- First-hand knowledge of the latest architectural paradigms, eg data mesh, data fabric, data lakehouse
- Proven experience with the latest technologies, eg databricks, Airflow, dbt, snaplogic
- Very familiar with the AWS ecosystem
- Experience in dealing with R&D/scientific data types and research informatics in R&D organisations and large digital transformation initiatives
- Experience in data management topics, eg DQ, data standards, Datamodelling, data catalogues, lineage, data models, vocabularies, ontologies, and how there make data more FAIR/interoperable/trusted.
- Experience in designing and building data products in DataOps/DevOps ways
- Ideally, experienced in managing a team of data engineers and setting up guardrails and processes
