Overview: A global FTSE250 Fintech organisation with over a billion-pound turnover are looking to recruit an experienced Data Engineer with Azure and SQL DB capabilities. This role will include working with a leading solution using data from internal & external sources to ensure the organisations competitive edge. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using Azure DevOps for code, development management, SSIS, and ADF preferably.

Roles & Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Use data from internal & external sources to provide the company with a competitive edge
\xc2\xb7 Maintain existing / develop new solutions to maximize the utility of data within the business
\xc2\xb7 Hands-on full lifecycle understanding of requirements and delivery of reports and dashboards
\xc2\xb7 Understand and document new and existing data requirements
\xc2\xb7 Proactively identify opportunities for data quality improvements
\xc2\xb7 Manage the relationship with stakeholders and users of the data
\xc2\xb7 Work with the development team to contribute to project delivery, review T-SQL code and
\xc2\xb7 Process large data sets/forecasting
\xc2\xb7 Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business

Essential Skills & Experience:
\xc2\xb7 SQL 2012-2019 / Azure SQL DB
\xc2\xb7 SSIS & Azure Data Factory
\xc2\xb7 Analysis Services Tabular
\xc2\xb7 Git/Azure DevOps
\xc2\xb7 Power Platform (Power BI On-premise and embedded service / Powerapps /Power Automate)
\xc2\xb7 Self-starter \xe2\x80\x93 will lead and provide the energy to get projects delivered.
\xc2\xb7 Capable of working on multiple new and mature projects simultaneously.
\xc2\xb7 Strong T-SQL skills. Confident with advanced functions and complex datasets from transactional and batch sources.
\xc2\xb7 Understanding of data flows and lineage and able to implement these using SSIS/ADF ETL tools
\xc2\xb7 Strong analytical skills \xe2\x80\x93 Analysing financial data, models etc.
