Data Engineer \xc2\xa344,055 to \xc2\xa347,601 per annum Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire (Hybrid working) This is a highly technical specialist role having the overall responsibility of design, development and maintenance of council\xe2\x80\x99s database and services architecture within Data & Development team. You may have background in software engineering or in data related domain, what makes you successful is the ability and passion to work with data and understanding how to design and apply technology to support councils\xe2\x80\x99 emerging approach to Business Intelligence & Analytics. The Data Engineer will be expected to perform variety of different data related tasks from managing ETL tools such as FME Server, integrations, and data cleansing & enrichment preparing it for analysis. A definite bonus for this role will be previous knowledge and experience of PowerBI. A key focus of this role is determining which data is crucial and transforming it into useful information for council \xe2\x80\x93 data integrity and security are obviously key elements in our operations and whilst we hold lot of data, we also must ensure that we timely dispose data which is no longer needed. You are a collaborative team player working as a technical lead in data related matters and are expected to drive the evolution of data capability in alignment with Digital Strategy and requirements arising from digital programme but also from information & data governance and Business Intelligence domains.
