Job Description


We are looking for an experienced Data and Architecture Lead to join the Digital Technology & Change team in our Solihull office on a hybrid basis. As a valuable team member, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing the nPower Business Solutions (nBS) strategy to enhance the digital customer and colleague experience. Join us in our transition towards a Product led DevOps model and contribute to shaping our operational approach and capabilities as we expand our business. nBS is the E.ON Industrial and Commercial (I&C) area of EON and a market leader in the energy retail sector. I&C is a xc2xa37 billion revenue business serving c30,000 customers and approximately 250,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.Data & Architecture LeadHere's what you'll be doing

  • Support the Head of Data in delivering the data strategy and optimising data management capabilities.
  • Build, deploy, and support effective data delivery solutions, interfaces, and reporting platforms with a focus on cloud technologies.
  • Lead the implementation of a Modern Data Platform and migrate legacy systems to cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Deliver consolidated business data, data optimisation, analytics, and senior-level reporting to enable the organisation to leverage data effectively.
  • Advocate for data as the organisation's #1 asset and ensure adherence to high standards.
What we need from you
  • Experience in developing data solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Proficiency in data handling, analysis, and manipulation of complex datasets.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse methodologies, such as the Kimball Methodology.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Fabri or Synapse, MS Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, SQL Server Management Studio, GitHub, DevOps, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong communication skills to interact cross-functionally at all levels.
  • Technical background in data engineering or software engineering with experience in developing scalable platforms.
