We are looking for a talented and ambitious individual who can join us as Data Architect to support in delivering a step change in the quality, efficiency and user experience of our systems. Having a robust data strategy, with clear policies and guidelines is vital to the services we provide across St Mungo\xe2\x80\x99s to colleagues, donors, partner agencies and clients; allowing us to continue delivering the best possible support to people experiencing homelessness.

The Data Architect will play a key role in this exciting period of system and process change. Reporting to the Lead Technical Architect you will focus on capturing current and target data architecture to ensure a clear understanding of data needs and how these translate into and deliver business benefit. In this role you will:

  • Work towards defining the principles and standards for data architecture to ensure solutions adhere to them.
  • Define our current; and target data architecture and developing a transition roadmap with the goal of rationalising the data environment to standardise, streamline and simplify the landscape.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships within IT and relevant teams, helping to analyse business requirements and map them into data models and designs.
  • Drive greater levels of consistency, reuse, and standardisation in how we manage and utilise data.
About you

We are looking for a solution focused individual with a range of Data Architect experience. If you are a keen team player with good communication skills and can demonstrate the below, we encourage you to apply:
  • Experience of development and use of data architectural principles and frameworks, and sound knowledge of cloud technologies including some experience of implementation of infrastructure, platform and software as a service solution.
  • Ability to identify opportunities that will improve performance will be as important as your ability to proactively raise risks and/or failing performance.
  • You will have the ability to engage with people who may have different levels of technical knowledge and build positive and constructive working relationships with a variety of people across a large organisation.
  • Knowledge of the full IT delivery lifecycle, including exposure to different delivery methodologies and change and configuration management.
  • Experience in the housing and/or Charity sector experience is beneficial, but not essential.
