The Operational Planning Team is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to join our skilled and passionate Data & Systems team of analytical, technical, process and people focused that thrive on working with data. The team work together on exciting projects that supports operations. This role would suit candidates that want to develop their career as part of a team of highly skilled professionals who are passionate about increasing the value of the data and analytics in organisation. As the Data Analytics Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the stakeholders to understand the requirements of a project and then build solutions.
Working with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts across the business to build, assess, and launch new products.
Project management of small to medium sized projects, from inception to deployment.
Quality Assurance by owning, maintaining, and designing metrics.
Create and design new aggregated views, tables, and dashboards to simplify data track metrics and visualise insights.
Identify ways in which data can be mined to provide insights.
Collaborate with the Data Engineering Team to design, build, and optimize datasets from new and existing data sources.
Experience in querying large, complex data sets using SQL, Python, and/or R.
Demonstrable experience in Visualisation & Power Platform,and gathering and analysing requirements
Create compelling reports and insights using Power BI (including DAX and M), and storytelling with data.
Strong in data governance, including Data Quality tools and processes.
Knowledge and experience working with MS Azure including Databricks, Data Factory, DevOps, REST API, Azure Synapse and Blob Storage.
Strong Word, PowerPoint & Excel skills
