The Data Analyst is a role which forms part of the Process, Change and Readiness (PCR) Team. The team's ambition is to provide insight via data/analytics to inform, optimise and measure process improvement and business change solutions.


Working collaboratively with their immediate team, the wider PCR team and project stakeholders around the business, the Data Analyst develops and delivers data and analytics projects using a variety of tools/products to improve efficiency, quality, service and value for our passengers, stakeholders and colleagues alike.




The role uses agile principles to manage tasks, which may include analytical requirements, data analysis, visualisation, modelling, mining, KPI definition and data storytelling in support of the PCR priorities. The role draws on a variety of data sets, including historical data, future forecasts and manual observation data, combining datasets to provide enriched visualisations and analytical solutions in support of our priorities.



Delivering analytical solutions and Business Intelligence tools such as reports, dashboards and models in line with requirements, best practice, and Heathrow strategies Defining technical requirements for Data and Analytics projects, ensuring focus is placed on benefits realisation and tangible outcomes through data Timely project delivery from inception to deployment, prioritising workload, documentation and sharing work on completion. Ensuring that project outputs are presented in an engaging and easily digestible format, striving for simplicity and consistency Ability to combine datasets to drive meaningful outputs including ad-hoc deep dive analytics and qualitative & quantitative analysis Working closely with the Data and Products Manager to identify new tools, or data sources that can unlock new insights in our project portfolio

Expertise in Data Visualisation and Data Wrangling using analytical tools such as Excel, PowerBI, Azure Synapse Experience in at least one programming language (R or Python) A demonstrated commitment to quality deliverables with a high attention to detail and ability to solve complex problems - must be comfortable with ambiguity Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience, with the ability to story-tell technical and complex subjects to a non-technical audience
Ideally you'll also have:


Experience in or desire to learn data modelling and simulation (DAX, M Language, Power Platform, VBA, JAAMSim) Lean/Six Sigma accreditation

Working Location



Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow . Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
