The post holder will curate data, support meta-data cataloguing and work with researchers to define and deliver secure data extracts so that datasets are made available securely for research, development and innovation taking place across industry, academia and the NHS.
The opportunity:
The DataLoch project - the foundation of the Health & Social Care aspect of the DDI programme - manages a data resource and research enabling facility that holds securely local, regional and national health and social care data for the residents of the Edinburgh & South East Scotland region. DataLoch enables research into disease mechanisms, treatment pathways, health service delivery and public health amongst others.
DataLoch creates Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable (FAIR) datasets, providing expert support to catalyse their responsible use in health care research and innovation. DataLoch offers a \'one-stop\' service for trustworthy, multi-stakeholder utilisation of curated data for public, private and third sector benefit.
