Choreographer/Dance Instructor - Youth Musical Theatre Production

Overview

We're looking for an enthusiastic and versatile Choreographer/Dance Instructor to support an exciting junior musical theatre production in Norwich. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for youth performance and a strong foundation in diverse dance styles. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director and Music Director to bring dynamic choreography to life, tailored to a cast of mixed ages and abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop and teach engaging choreography across a range of dance styles to suit varied age groups and skill levels. Deliver energetic and inclusive rehearsals that encourage creativity, discipline, and confidence. Collaborate with the production team to align movement with musical and dramatic elements. Support students' learning with clear instruction, encouragement, and constructive feedback. Assist in staging and refining dance numbers for live performance. Ensure rehearsals are safe, positive, and well-organised. Potential to continue on future projects based on performance and fit.

Skills & Experience

Strong ability in multiple dance styles (e.g., jazz, contemporary, commercial, hip-hop, etc.). Comfortable working with young performers of different experience levels. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Creative and adaptive approach to choreography and teaching. Previous experience in youth theatre or dance education preferred. Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: 20.00-25.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 5 per week
