About Global HSE Group

Global is a leading provider of fire engineering and fire construction services, with a fire engineering & design division that delivers professional consultancy across the built environment (Global Technical Services and Global Building Environments). Our Fire Engineering & Building Services team provides surveying, compliance, and design support across PBSA, Housing, Hotels & Healthcare. We're looking for a Senior Building Surveyor with a strong focus on building safety, with a preference to fire design compliance, and regulatory insight to help lead our work across a wide range of projects and teams.

Role Overview

We are looking for experienced site operatives who specialise in

PFP

(Passive Fire Protection)

Damper Installation

who can operate around the midlands area.

They should have at least

2 years' experience

within fire stopping.

They should understand the principles of Fire and Smoke damper devices and associated fire compartment barrier requirements

Key Responsibilities

Installing dampers: Ensuring proper placement and secure installation of fire dampers in ductwork systems.

Inspecting and testing: Conducting checks to ensure dampers function correctly and comply with safety standards.

Repairing and replacing: Addressing any issues with malfunctioning dampers and replacing damaged components.

Reading technical drawings: Interpreting blueprints and specifications to guide installation and maintenance.

Use appropriate knowledge of industry standards, guidance and specifications, in relation to ventilation system fire safety. Statutory regulations, which refer to the maintenance of ventilation systems and safe working practices

Ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and building codes.

Requirements

Full UK driving licence A CSCS card is beneficial NAADUK level 2 or equivalent Operate phone software to log and record works Able to understand and mark up site drawings DBS checked SSSTS would be beneficial
