Job Description

We are looking for Ad-hoc D1 minibus drivers for work based in Nailstone / Blaby / Melton / Loughborough / Mountsorrel / Croft / Sapcote

Drivers are primarily responsible for transporting vulnerable adults and children with special educational needs including physical and /or learning difficulties to their School, Day Centres and other activities.

Drivers will ensure (along with the escort \xe2\x80\x93 where allocated) their passengers\xe2\x80\x99 personal wellbeing and safe/secure travel at all times, in accordance with the job description, relevant Policies, legislation, Procedures and good practice. Duties may also include transporting associated goods and services like post and meal runs during the middle of the day.

Various shifts are available from full days to split shifts. The work is school term time only.

(*example of full shift = 7.00am \xe2\x80\x93 1 hr lunch \xe2\x80\x93 5.15pm)

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Full Driving Licence prior to 1/1/1997 OR post 1/1/1997 Driving License with minibus entitlement category D1 (minimum) or D

• Have held there licence for over 2 years.

• Have less than 6 points on their licence.

• Either hold an enhanced DBS on the update system or be prepared to apply for one.

• Be prepared to attend a training course prior to starting work

• Have 5 years work history

Own transport is essential due to travelling to locations.
