Contract \xe2\x80\x93 Full-time, Permanent Salary - Negotiable depending on experience JOB DESCRIPTION Main duties to focus on Windsor framework and subsequent customs and compliance required within the supply chain to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods from our UK supply base. Job Summary: Reporting to Head of Purchasing you will be responsible to maintain the highest service levels ensuring that stock availability, supplier customs compliance, managing and offsetting potential duties, reviewing current logistics arrangements and maximising efficiencies to company expectations. You will also be required to provide reports on customs and compliance for Senior leaders to meet overall company targets. You will focus on improving productivity, efficiency and accuracy, cost effectiveness and cost savings within the customs, compliance and logistics function. Key Responsibilities: Now: \xc2\xb7 Work with Lynas supplier partners in Supply Chain to ensure legal compliance, import and export requirements. \xc2\xb7 Support Bellshill depot with process and paperwork needed for stock returns and Suppliers using this route for back haul. \xc2\xb7 Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent and reliable implementation of supply chain activities, especially between transport, purchasing, key partners & suppliers. \xc2\xb7 Operate the Lynas Linear Groupage model with transport and 3PL carriers (Eg. McConaghy Skelmersdale depot) to ensure full compliance within agreed Windsor framework guidelines. \xc2\xb7 Raise draft EHC\xe2\x80\x99s / PA\xe2\x80\x99s for vet sign off. Raise corresponding CHED on TRACES and liaise with ports if consignments are delayed or detained. \xc2\xb7 Provide technical support for inbound container movements from GB and EU ports as required. Oversee clearance, delivery and original bills of lading [as required]. \xc2\xb7 Advise Supply chain controllers & Category managers of any key stock level issues or goods inwards challenges based on customs & compliance. \xc2\xb7 Raise all internal customs documents to support supply chain with our ex-works suppliers tied to key contracts such as KFC, PRET and Pizza hut. Soon: \xc2\xb7 Create a \xe2\x80\x98Lynas customs\xe2\x80\x99 rate card for required declarations / paperwork / EHC\xe2\x80\x99s / Cheds etc. \xc2\xb7 Manage all Lynas \xe2\x80\x98full frontier declarations\xe2\x80\x99 process and/or TSS Supplementary process. \xc2\xb7 Set up a Lynas duty deferment account & Reconcile duty deferment to PO level. \xc2\xb7 Monitor and report on duty incurred and raise refund claims as needed on a value or term basis. Working with Jason to develop reports to be able to run the sales out data required for NI and Scotland sales which we can claim back at agreed timeframes. \xc2\xb7 Create, update and control a master Commodity code & Country of origin data base for all our suppliers to assist with customers\xe2\x80\x99 requests and intrastat returns. \xc2\xb7 Calculate, track and maintain all applicable % tariffs for our EU & Rest of the world sourced products. \xc2\xb7 Work with National Account partners eg. Caf\xc3\xa9 Nero, KFC, PRET, Pizza hut etc as well as buying group Caterforce to ensure clarity on WF guidelines and all realised duties and tariffs are applied to our ROI customers & ROI key accounts pricing where necessary. \xc2\xb7 Working with our UK suppliers to see if we can claim \xe2\x80\x98Returns duty relief\xe2\x80\x99 on some stock coming from EU / Rest of the world. Request Import declarations from our UK suppliers to be able to offset or claim back duties. Later: \xc2\xb7 Create a LYNAS bespoke customs house in order to bring all customs \xe2\x80\x98on site\xe2\x80\x99 with long term planning for full custom controls and compliance managed internally. \xc2\xb7 Suggest ways to improve material flow, MOQ\xe2\x80\x99s and logistics costings to keep costs low and plan 3PL inbound vehicles to reduce physical vehicle movements to site. \xc2\xb7 Review current logistics pricing for our ex-works suppliers and benchmarking against other hauliers pricing. \xc2\xb7 Provide training & support to Lynas purchasing internal employees and other key stakeholders. \xc2\xb7 Drive continuous improvement across supply chain, planning and logistics related activities. \xc2\xb7 Work with Lynas operations team on shunt pricing & logistics planning to see if any efficiencies could be added into this process. \xc2\xb7 Working with our UK suppliers to see if we can claim \xe2\x80\x98Returns duty relief\xe2\x80\x99 on some stock coming from EU / Rest of the world. Request Import declarations from our UK suppliers to be able to offset or claim back duties. \xc2\xb7 Review suppliers currently using Red lane to see if any can switch over to green lane \xe2\x80\x93 Eg. outlet only suppliers. \xc2\xb7 Review difficult UK suppliers that are adding customs charges to our invoice prices since Brexit / WF \xe2\x80\x93 move some of these to an ex works incoterm and align customs and logistics alongside to realise delivered price savings. \xc2\xb7 Help supply chain review MOQ\xe2\x80\x99s and optimise deliveries based on your logistics / planning knowledge. \xc2\xb7 Advise future key accounts and potential new contracts with our customs policy and guideless and support where necessary to ensure smooth onboarding of new business. \xc2\xb7 Support Lynas Purchasing team with future compliance projects such as DRS (Deposit return scheme) / Plastic packaging tax etc. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits:
