We are looking for motivated and customer focused individuals to join our team as a Customer Service Assistant, to support the needs of Northern Customers at our stations.
About the role:
As a Customer Service Assistant, you'll play an important role for our customers, by ensuring exceptional service leading to high customer satisfaction. You'll be knowledgeable on our routes and tickets, as well as provide support and assistance to customers in times of need and disruption.
In this role, you'll follow rules, regulation and safety notices within the station, to ensure not only you but our stations can safely operate. You'll make sure our stations are presentable and if there is cause for an accident or other safety related issues, you'll be first to adhere to safety requirements and procedures.
Please note this is a General Purpose Relif role, so you will be required to cover multiple stations

In this customer centric role, you can expect your day to day to be varied and rewarding. Here's what your day-to-day activities could include:
Providing information and assistance to customers
Ensuring promotional notices and publications are current, displayed and made available on request to customers.
Ensuring all duties are carried out safely and in accordance with the relevant Rules, Regulations, Safety notices and instructions.
Keeping your place of work safe and tidy at all times
Assisting in the fire evacuation procedures
Assisting with bus co-ordination
About you:
You'll be an exceptional communicator with empathy and strong problem-solving abilities. Your ability to demonstrate patience, coupled with adaptability and professionalism, will allow you to excel. You'll also possesses a positive attitude, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning; demonstrating your ability to be a valued member of our team, ensuring that every customer interaction leaves a lasting, positive impression.
We're also looking for the following:
Team working / Collaborative working style.
Willingness to undertake training related to Customer Service and Conflict Resolution etc
Excellent time management skills
Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding, in relation to other peoples needs
