About The RoleWorking Hours: 37 hours per weekLocation: Base at one of our Adult Learning Centres, travel to city wide Adult learning sitesShortlist- Within two days of the adverts closing dateInterview date: Friday 7th March 2025Interview details:Shortlisted candidates will attend a full-morning assessment center on Friday, March 7th. This first stage will include lunch and the opportunity to meet the team. Successful candidates from the morning session will be invited to stay for a formal interview in the afternoon.The role:Manchester Adult Education has an exciting opportunity within their Wider Management Team for a Curriculum Manager to lead their English and maths Curriculum.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the curriculum is well designed and executed, delivers on key performance indicators and is a good fit for our learners and the city. You will be responsible for managing relationships with key stakeholders, including local employers and community organisations.Key responsibilitiesCurriculum PlanningEnsure that the curriculum plan is robust, deliverable and will generate sufficient funding in 25/26 and beyond, whilst making efficient use of resources and staff time.Lead the team to ensure that all courses that are being offered are effectively planned and have a clear intent that can be articulated by relevant staffContribute to the medium to long-term strategy for the English and maths curriculum which includes aspirations to extend the delivery and grow the Curriculum area.Learner RecruitmentContribute to developing and delivering the approach to enrolment in 25/26 ensuring that it is well communicated to the team and prospective learners and that it leads to a positive start to the academic year.Monitor recruitment data, identify areas that need additional focus to achieve recruitment targets and plan effective interventions.Quality of EducationEnsure the team are xe2x80x98Ofsted ready and can articulate and evidence strengths, curriculum intent and impact, providing support where it is needed.Monitor quality and intervene quickly to manage issues in line with service policies and procedures.Contribute to delivering the service quality cycle, undertaking self-assessment and identifying appropriate service improvement actions.Manage the internal quality assurance process, working closely with the team leaders and awarding organisationsWe are looking for a highly motivated individual who has experience and/or aspirations of progressing into a leadership role and the ability to help shape our strategic plans.
