To lead a credit control team in its day to day responsibilities and provide support to the Head of Credit in the development and performance of the team.
This role is Hybrid working, so travel to our Travis Perkins head office based in Northampton is required a minimum of twice a week.
Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for leading the teams to deliver business KPI's, productivity levels and quality targets whilst developing a culture of high performance
Assess all requests and review all credit limits up to 500,000.
Work with senior stakeholders within the TP group to ensure that the actions taken by Credit Services are understood and to gain buy-in in dealing with escalated issues
Influence across TP Merchanting the meeting of SLA's and work with key stakeholders to define best practice.
Driving continuous performance improvement of all team members through building skills coaching, knowledge and overall competence, ensuring personal development plans are in place and regularly reviewed
Accountable for delivering and evidencing robust performance management practices within the team through the use of M.I. and reporting processes
Responsible for ensuring that workloads and demand is constantly reviewed and looking to optimise efficiency
Visit customers and branches on a regular basis to ensure high value queries/disputes and payment delays are resolved
What you'll need to have/be:
Educated to O' Level/GCSE standard
Previous Credit Control Team Leader/Supervisor Experience
Strong Leadership skills, robust approach to relationships, strong organisational skills, ability to work to tight deadlines
Cash Collection skills, Balance Sheet knowledge, computer literate.
