Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic

Credit Controller

to strengthen our financial operations. As we are a relatively small team, this is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of credit control while contributing to broader financial tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the cashbook with precise receipt allocation. Maintaining up-to-date customer information and conducting regular credit limit reviews. Overseeing the dunning/statement process to ensure effective communication with clients. Reconciling accounts and processing customer refunds efficiently. Performing intercompany balance reconciliations of new customer accounts using in-house accounting software and verifying creditworthiness. Managing customer invoicing platforms/portals, including self-billing and consignment stock systems. Liaising with internal and external sales departments to ensure accuracy of customer accounts. Taking a proactive role in debt collection, reducing overdue debts, and eliminating errors. Escalating debts to a collection agency when necessary. Managing the month-end close process for accounts receivable. Preparing and presenting debt reports to senior managers. Providing support to other finance team members as required. Developing and maintaining policies for the sales ledger department.
