Key Responsibilities

Insight Workplace Health are a leading provider of occupational health services, based in Wales.

This full-time Accounts Assistant & Credit Control role is based at the Company\'s central office in LLandarcy, near Swansea. The Finance function is currently 3 people and this role is to take over a number of essential duties as well as support Finance initiatives.

As Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for primarily for the sales ledger and invoicing, with associated credit control and general support for invoice queries from clients. As the role progresses there would be work on AP and invoice data entry.

You enjoy working within a small, versatile organisation and are comfortable in a book-keeping capacity up to month-end preparation and eager to contribute to and take responsibility for broader financial and administrative projects. You are great at working effectively with others and using your communication skills across sites, departments and externally to provide and receive information.

You will succeed in the businesses as a self-starter who can work effectively with or without supervision, meticulously with an innate ability to spot and investigate potential errors in invoicing and to drive continuous improvement.

Handling sensitive company and employee data confidentially, discreetly and securely is essential.

Finance Responsibilities:

This list is not exhaustive and the successful candidate may also be expected to take on additional responsibilities within the overall scope of the role.

  • Ensure the timely and accurate recording and issuing of suppliers\' invoices and payments
  • Full Management of the Sales Ledger
  • Handle Communications, information flows and portal uploads with Invoice Credit Providers
  • File related documents accurately and reliably
  • Process journal entries and prepare month end financial reports.
  • Assist in compliance returns (VAT)
  • Proactively improve processes and use of financial system
  • Generally, assist the Management Accountant and Finance Manager in the preparation of accurate management accounts to a deadline
  • Any other duties as required to assist the Company\'s administration
Skills and Experience:
  • Three years in a Finance role focused on the responsibilities noted above
  • Education: AAT preferred but not essential
  • Software Experience:
  • Intermediate level MS Excel user
  • Cloud-based accounting systems experience (e.g. Xero, Sage Inacct).
  • Intermediate level MS Outlook
  • Beginner level MS Word
