We have an exciting opportunity to join our Credit Services team, based in Colchester, as a Credit Administrator on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Our Credit Services team work with customers, both new and existing, to promote timely payments and reduce bad debt across our customer base.

As a Credit Administrator at Penguin Random House, you will be responsible for ensuring we make sensible credit granting decisions within our Trade customer as well as our Rights and Royalties customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and amend customers credit limits in SAP, Biblio and Vista based on information provided by the requestor.
  • Review requests for changes and make decisions based on available information i.e. payment history and credit checks.
  • Work with business units and appropriate team members to resolve credit limit issues in an efficient and timely manner
  • Refer to relevant Credit Control teams for decisions where bad debt is an issue
  • Manage customer data and customer data integrity across all systems
  • Ensure requests to release holding orders are processed in a timely manner.
  • Run credit checks on customers
  • Operate and manage established systems for the management of internal data and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate
  • Day to day management of trade credit insurance updates, ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed of changes
  • Be an active member of assigned integration projects that involve Credit Risk team changes.
  • Carry out ad-hoc requests and reports from internal and external requestors.
  • Answer queries from both internal and external sources

Previous experience of SAP and an understanding of sales order processing and pricing systems is a desirable for this role but not essential.

For this role, it is expected that you will work two days a week in the office and three days a week remotely.The hours for this role are 18 hours a week, ideally workng two full days and one half day. Working patterns can be discussed during the interview process.

Salary: circa \xc2\xa322,000 pro rata depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus benefits.
