Protocol are working with a leading FE College based in the West London area. It is a very well-established College graded as \xe2\x80\x9cGood\xe2\x80\x9d by Ofsted. The College\xe2\x80\x99s students are at the heart of what they do, and their priority is to prepare all their learners for the future. Last year over 800 students from the A-Level and Vocational Courses went on to study at top universities.

Our client currently has an opportunity to join them on a full time permanent basis starting ASAP as a Course Leader in Art and Design in Harrow

\xc2\xa338,035 to \xc2\xa344,969 per annum including London Weighting

As Course Team Leader: Art and Design, you will be responsible for the curriculum management including recruitment, retention and achievement of students. You will provide curriculum leadership, supervise a team of Lecturers and teach on courses according to your specialism, and take the lead in Internal Verification and standardisation activities to meet UAL and Gateway specifications and deadlines of all courses, particularly the Level 3 Applied General external assessments. You will also build and maintain links with employers and other external stakeholders to secure live briefs and work experience for students.

The person & qualifications

• A degree in Art
• Holds an advanced level teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (PGCE, DET or equivalent)
• Has relevant teaching experience within an FE environment, including delivery of UAL Diploma programmes, together with experience of marking and assessment
• Happy to plan and prep lessons
• Able to engage learners aged 16+
• Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one.
