Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered to the correct locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to manage time effectively while navigating various routes.

Duties

Drive a van or similar vehicle to deliver items to designated locations. Load and unload packages, ensuring that heavy lifting is performed safely and efficiently. Communicate with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and signatures upon receipt. Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including sorting and organising packages for delivery.

Requirements

Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle physically demanding tasks. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and colleagues. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices is desirable. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
