Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Counter Staff to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while assisting with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organised environment. Your ability to manage time effectively and upsell menu items will contribute to a positive dining experience for our patrons.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately. Prepare food items in accordance with food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area and kitchen. Assist in the preparation of meals and beverages as required. Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently. Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not essential. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours. Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous. A culinary background or interest in food preparation is a plus. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with customers. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: 11.44-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
