Due to the ongoing success of our in-house butchery department and pre-pack section in Greens Foodfare, we are looking to recruit a Counter Assistant - Butchery. If you have experience in a butchery department that would be great, though it is not essential as full training will be given.
As a butchery assistant you will:
Prepare, cut, weigh and wrap prepack items for the counter and chilled display cabinets
Serve customers at the butchery counter
Assist in setting up the counter to the highest standard
Monitor stock of counter and display cabinets, restocking as necessary
Assist in producing meat products, including sausages, burgers, roasts as per the seasonal needs of the business
Date check and review products on a daily basis
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the butchery counter and preparation area at all times by carrying out regular cleaning throughout your shift.
Receive deliveries, pack into fridge and record accordingly
Ensure at all times compliance of all relevant regulations including HACCP / EHO and FSA standards
We are looking for a new staff member that is customer focused, efficient and can work to the highest standard of cleanliness.
You will be required to some Saturdays on a rota basis.
