About this role




As part of the Corporate team at Chadwick Lawrence, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, company sales, joint ventures and shareholder agreements. You will play an integral role in drafting and negotiating key corporate documents, conducting legal due diligence, and advising clients on corporate governance matters.


Chadwick Lawrence boasts an impressive client list which ranges from care homes and nurseries, to oil companies, to some of the most well-known sports teams in the Yorkshire region. The successful candidate can expect to have full access to clients and will be directly involved in the growth and maintenance of relationships with those clients.


Key responsibilities

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating key corporate documents including share sale agreements, disclosure letters, asset purchase agreements and shareholder agreements. Conducting legal due diligence and preparing detailed due diligence reports. Advising clients on corporate governance and company law issues. Preparing and reviewing board minutes, resolutions and filings with Companies House. Conducting legal research. Engaging in business development activities and attending networking events.

Applicants should ideally possess the following skills and experience:

be admitted to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales. newly qualified to 3 years' PQE. excellent drafting, negotiating and communication skills. ability to manage straightforward transactions and identify relevant legal principles. strong IT skills. a high degree of initiative and the ability to manage your time and your workload effectively. a proactive and team orientated individual with a keen eye for detail.
