Overall Objectives of the Post:
This is a rewarding role with many different aspects. This position will play a vital part in supporting the Income Generation team and the charity as a whole, helping to raise awareness, engage corporate supporters, and drive fundraising efforts across our corporate income streams.
As a corporate Fundraiser you will be responsible for identifying opportunities to engage businesses of all sizes across Stoke, Staffordshire, Newcastle Under Lyme and Staffordshire Moorlands to build mutually beneficial partnerships. You will also be responsible for re-engaging lapsed and existing supporters, building a new prospect list, aiming to secure at least 3 active partnerships or pledges within the first 3 months.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a pipeline of current and potential corporate partners.
- Develop an engagement plan that will promote continued support for the Gingerbread Centre.
- Secure and manage Charity of the year partnerships
- Manage corporate volunteering days which could support the whole charity
- Work with colleagues to identify sponsorship opportunities
- Develop and implement corporate initiatives and campaigns to maximise corporate engagement and support
- Steward corporate supporters effectively
- Provide reports on corporate activity and income against set targets
- Ensure records are kept up to date on Donorfy
- Carry out due diligence on prospective organisations to assess potential reputational risks to the charity.
- Ensure corporate fundraising comply with fundraising regulations and codes of conduct
- Represent Gingerbread by attending local Networking events, conferences and functions to promote and raise awareness of The Gingerbread Centre and its fundraising activities.
- Send regular news updates to maintain the donor relationship.
- Ensure prospects and donor records are accurately recorded and maintained on the CRM system to ensure excellent stewardship and to help inform business decisions, ensuring compliance with the UK GDPR.
- Make a strong contribution to the wider objectives of the fundraising team and always maintain good relationships with colleagues and volunteers.
- Develop a good working knowledge of the issues affecting Gingerbread's service users.
- Comply with all Gingerbread policies and procedures and undertake appropriate training and personal development as appropriate.
- To work as part of a team, group and project working group.
- Undertake such other reasonable tasks as may, from time to time, be necessary to support colleagues and promote the interests of the organisation.
- Support the wider fundraising team with fundraising events and initiatives
- Work closely with the Marketing and Communications function to develop supporter-focused content and campaigns

To act as a positive role model for others.
To be an ambassador for our Charity; representing Gingerbread at external meetings, conferences, events and functions
To carry out other tasks and duties as may reasonably be requested by the Chief Executive and/or the Management Committee/ Trustees from time to time.

Experience
Experience fundraising within the charity sector or transferable skills
The ability to develop a pipeline of prospects through to cultivation, application and stewardship. (Application form & Interview)

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and influence internal and external contacts at all levels, and to represent Gingerbread in person with potential funders. (Interview)
