Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our coffee shop team. The ideal candidate will have a background in food preparation, with a focus on creating high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times. Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant/ cafe setting. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare diverse meals efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation is essential. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends is essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour
