Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Skills
Proven experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
