CookWallsend/Homeside LodgePermanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)Pay xc2xa312.00 per hour (xc2xa323,464 per annum) pro rata, with great benefits including Health Cash PlanHome, a place where you belongWe have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team as a Cook, where youll be responsible for all kitchen duties. Youll be ordering the food, menu planning and ensuring all health & safety regulations are in place.As our Cook, youll be responsible for ensuring that all stock is recorded when received and expenditure records are maintained. Youll plan and prepare all meals catering to our diverse customer group to ensure all meals suit a variety of dietary needs and cultures.Typical day as a Cook

• Overseeing the management of the kitchen as directed by the service manager
• Serving our fantastic customers over the age of 55
• Responsible for ordering supplies and maintaining adequate stocks of food
• Responsibility for the overall cleanliness of the kitchen, pantries etc.
• Maintain stock sheets and complete stock checks as and when required

• Previous experience in cooking/catering work.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills and an ability to keep calm under pressure.
• An understanding of the principles of confidentiality
• Flexibility and ability to relate to vulnerable people with sensitivity.

• Youll work on a 4-week rolling rota with 4 shifts on and then 4 days off
• Your hours of work will be 08:00 to 18:30
• Youll need a Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
