We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. A good understanding of food safety and meal preparation. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dishes that delight our guests and contribute to our reputation for excellence.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Skills
Proven experience in a restaurant or similar culinary environment, or be willing to learn.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Proficient in meal preparation techniques, with an emphasis on quality and presentation.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary skills.
