Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our team at Cakes & Ale Holiday Park. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant and food preparation, with a keen understanding of kitchen operations and food safety practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Working days are Wednesday and Thursday and at other times as required.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the planning and preparation of daily menus Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as necessary. Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Participate in menu development by providing feedback on dishes based on customer preferences.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
