Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food preparation and culinary techniques, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our guests while ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages as necessary. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices. Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods. Experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or similar environment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Pay: From 13.00 per hour
