We are currently recruiting for part time experienced cooks to join our team in our southside cafe

Various hours and days available ( Rate of pay to be discussed at interview depending on age group and hours offered)

This position is available with immediate start,

The cafe operates from 7am - 7pm Monday - Sunday

Summary



As a Cook, you will be essential in delivering high-quality meals and ensuring food safety standards are met in our kitchen. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will utilize your core skills in food preparation, cooking, and culinary experience to create delicious dishes that enhance our guests' dining experience. Your leadership and hospitality skills will foster a collaborative kitchen environment, while your premium skills in supervising and team management will help guide junior staff. Responsibilities



Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed in the kitchen. Supervise kitchen staff and manage food production to maintain quality and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and a positive dining experience. Maintain kitchen equipment and inventory, ensuring all supplies are stocked and organized. Provide leadership and training to new staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications



Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a kitchen environment Strong culinary skills with a focus on food safety and hygiene Background in hospitality and customer service Leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen staff Familiarity with food production processes and team management Previous restaurant experience, including serving and customer interaction skills
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 225.00-325.00 per week

Schedule:

Holidays Monday to Friday Overtime Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:

Glasgow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:

GCSE or equivalent (required)
Experience:

Kitchen management: 1 year (required) Kitchen: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:

Food @ Hygiene Cerificate (required)
Work Location: In person
