Overview

We are seeking a Conveyor Belt Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of conveyor belt systems in the Quarrying and Recycling industry .

Duties

Install and configure conveyor belt systems according to specifications. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on conveyor systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues related to conveyor belts, including motor failures, belt misalignment, and wear and tear. Replace worn or damaged components, such as rollers, belts, and motors. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to improve system efficiency and reliability. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Conveyor Belt Technician or in a similar mechanical role is preferred but not essential as full training will be given. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including motors, gears, and bearings an advantage but not essential. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics an advantage but not essential. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
