What you\'ll be doing

Are you an electrically qualified engineer who is looking to further develop their career in control systems?

We are currently looking for a Lead Control Systems Engineer to join our team here at Warrington.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Managing a team of 2 control systems engineers
• Developing robust infrastructure control systems and build front line capability to ensure routine problem solving is actioned by operations colleagues
• Completing upgrades for existing systems as well as designing and installing new systems when needed
• Maintaining an archive of control systems information ensuring accuracy, validity, and availability for all members of the engineering team
• Collaborating and communicating with engineers and production colleagues when completing project work to enhance production efficiency, effectiveness and operational understanding
• Developing and implementing the required technology to increase reliability and efficiency of machinery by identifying obsolescence and future risks for process and product change
• Electrical duty holder responsibility
• Taking over Maintenance Manager responsibilities as and when required

What we\'re looking for

As the Lead Control Systems Engineer, you will utilise your FMCG background and experience in electrical engineering to manage your team and contribute towards the development and growth of Engineers around you.

You will also have:

• High level engineering skills to cover all systems such as PLC and SCADA
• Experience working in a multiskilled engineering environment
• Electrical engineering qualification
• FMCG/Manufacturing Industry experience
• Ability to conduct Engineering Training needs analysis
• Experience of delivering training and knowledge transfer
