Energy Trading Ireland is a licensed Demand Side Unit Operator, trading in the Single Electricity Market. Established in 2013, the company has grown to become a significant force within this sector. Our Dundonald based control room operates 24/7, all year round.

The Position:

Control Room Operator - Shift

Applications are invited to apply for the position of Control Room Operator at their Dundonald site. This is full time permanent position working 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, on a rotating shift pattern (days and nights). As a Control Room Operator your duties and responsibilities will vary, based on the Company's requirements, but will include:

Monitoring fluctuating demand from client sites (factories/offices). Data logging, load forecasting and trading Problem solving and fault diagnosis Manage Demand Response across all sites when 'dispatched' Working both individually and as part of a team
Essential:

Reliability and good time management

Ability to understand industrial processes

Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.

Ability to input, understand and analyse data with careful attention to detail

Be able to work on own initiative and with clear decision making

Ability to work under pressure

Demonstrate commercial awareness

Excellent communication skills

Desirable (not essential):

Previous control room experience

Previous experience working a shift pattern

Degree level in engineering or business

Qualified to HNC/HND level in an engineering discipline

Control Room Operator - Shift

Location: Dundonald

Starting Annual Salary of 25,000.

Rising to 27,000 on successful completion of 6-month probation period.
