Job Description

DMS Property Maintenance are a family run company based near Folkestone, Kent.

We have a proven track record of success which has enabled us to grow year on year both in the private, commercial, and social housing sectors.

Due to the renewal and expansion of our reactive and planned maintenance contract,

we are seeking an experienced Contracts Surveyor, who has extensive knowledge of property building & maintenance works.

They would need to be conversant with using and working to SOR rates, in order to work with, and produce accurate quotations, and to follow existing processes, and procedures.

The working area covers the BN/PO & RH post codes (covering Eastbourne to Portsmouth up to Redhill). You will therefore be required to work under your own initiative, although you will have the back-up, from our head office along with the experienced team that currently works in the surrounding regions.

The company has a H&S professional who will fully assist you in managing your duties regarding on-site H&S requirements & Collating and distribute general risk assessments and CPP's etc. You will, ideally, work from home, and plan your working day/week according to the workload, and requirements of our client.

The successful candidate will need to be conversant with----

Extensive Knowledge and experience within the property maintenance / repairs sector Be able to diagnose potential issues and defects within properties Recommend rectification works Have knowledge of the Schedule of rates Excellent level of IT skills in Microsoft Word and Excel Manage repairs operatives and sub-contractors Keeping daily records & reports for the head office Knowledge of all H&S requirements Liaising with clients, managers and tenants Overseeing programmes of works and updating these daily Cost management of jobs inc costing sheets Completing variations requests for works pricing and authorisation Invoicing ensuring all original and extra works invoiced Managing works completion by target dates Collate and distribute general risk assessments and CPP's Creating reports for management and clients Liaise with suppliers, including placing and chasing material orders
Your personal attributes need to include the following---

Good at time management Able to plan & schedule works, so as to maximise efficiency Able to work under tight timescales, and under pressure Hold a clean driving licence Attend regular site & Zoom meetings Excellent telephone manner Flexible within your daily routines
This position to from Monday to Friday, and in return, we will offer a competitive package, commensurate with the post.

Salary will be based on all the above being in the region of 50,000 per annum.
