Job Description

Following a recent contract award we are looking to grow our integrated project team further and are now looking for a contracts specialist for the project but also to support with all other UK contractual support. This role is central in driving business growth, as well as controlling risk, supporting the business as well as our customers, suppliers and vendors.

This role will be to provide legal and contract support for the legal and project teams, dealing with client and subcontractor contracts and administration primarily in the EMEA region, along with other markets as directed. Key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure compliance with all contractual processes and procedures
• Provide legal support to tendering processes - to include contract review, qualification, negotiation and close-out
• Provide active contract management for existing contracts
• Provide contractual leadership and strategic guidance to internal clients
• Administration and upkeep of industry registrations
• Assist operation units/manager with interpretation of contracts

This is a full time position based at our Blackburn, Aberdeen office. Candidates should have a right to work in the UK and applications should demonstrate the following:

• Extensive working knowledge of project contract management / 5 years in similar role.
• Ability to work pro-actively under own initiative with minimum supervision
• Working knowledge of Logic Contracts
• Good Organisational skills with attention to detail
• Understanding of client requirements and expectations
• Understands contract compliance requirements
• 3 years preffered (not essential) Drilling Contractor Experience
• 5 years minimum Oil & Gas Sector Experience
• Legal or quantity surveying qualification. A recognised engineering qualification is advantageous but not essential. Equivalent experience in the upstream Oil & Gas sector is acceptable with a CV that shows appropriate career/role progression.
