About the Role





This new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority for the post of Contracts Manager in the Facilities Management / Land & Property Service.



Annually, our operations teams facilitate over 26 million journeys through the Mersey Tunnels and operate the Mersey Ferries services - carrying over 600,000 passengers. Our Maintenance Delivery services respond to over 20,000 reactive and planned maintenance tasks and support our wider investment plans across our diverse estate. Our 24/7, 365-day Operations and our Assets are key for the social and economic wellbeing of Liverpool City Region and beyond.




About the person





Reporting to the Land & Property Manager, the Contract Manager will act as the lead within the Customer & Operations Directorate and where appropriate, the wider authority. The principal focus will be Facilities Management related contracts covering Operational Buildings, Land, Mersey Tunnels, Mersey Ferries, our Maintenance Delivery services, Bus and Rail operations. You will have the experience and skills associated with specifying, procuring, and performance managing a wide-ranging suite of Statutory and Non-Statutory facilities management contracts sufficient to support this diverse range of assets.



Working effectively with the operations teams you will play a key role in the management of the Directorate and wider Authority Contracts to deliver Safe, Effective, Efficient asset management services. You will be proactive, ensuring contracts are procured and managed in a timely manner to ensure the high standards required for estate management services are maintained and continuous. Ideally, you will have a facilities/contract/contractor management or engineering background with an understanding of the legislation that applies to the safe management of people, land & complex property. You will have the drive and determination to work with other departments in their delivery of a range of services that the 1.6m people of Liverpool City Region expect and deserve. You will possess demonstrable skills for what is a key position in the organisation.
