We have an exciting opportunity at our award winning roofing company based in Harlow, Essex for a new

Contracts Manager for Flat Roofing

!

Responsible for the overall end-to-end project delivery of allocated contracts including the contract profitability, identifying and managing labour, ensuring sites have the required materials and always delivering a high customer service.

Reponsibilities

Accountable for complete end-to-end delivery of allocated contracts and sites Day to day management of all contract required works Being responsible for budgetary control and profitability on allocated contracts/projects Acting as the main point of contact for sub-contractors, roofers, clients, site and Contour Management for the allocated sites Managing and maintaining construction project schedules and an overall programme of works Completing of all site RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement) for allocated sites prior to starting works Working with the Construction Manager to organise your share of roofers and variable amount of sub-contractor roofers Attend pre-start and handover meetings Attend site meetings to monitor progress Making sure contracts and works carried out meet the required and agreed technical standards Ensure regular, frequent site visits and reports are undertaken for the allocated sites Ensure high standards are kept from start to finish on the allocated sites Ensure all roofers on sites are adhering to the required H&S and have all the appropriate site inductions, certifications etc Work closely with the Construction and Contracts Managers to coordinate material deliveries Ensure sites are ready and fit for purpose with all H&S in place prior to roofers being on site Update Construction Manager on site progress to ensure competed sites/plots/areas can be billed Accountable for the checking and approval of all allocated PAYE staff and sub-contractor wages on a weekly basis Support the Maintenance Operative whenever required Work with the Construction Manager/Director and Estimator for all queries including negotiating variations to original agreed prices Undertake health & safety audits as and when required Perform site stock audits as and when required Line manager for all allocated PAYE, sub-contractor, and apprentice roofers To be proactive, helpful, and positive at all times To conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times To escalate any issues with to Directors as soon as possible

Planning/project management evidence/experience is a must Comfortable with contract discussions/negiotiations Handling of multiple sites Self motivated and being responsible for your own time management A leader to the workforce Experience in single-ply (must), liquid, hot melt, felt, pitched roofing (nice to have)
