We are currently recruiting an exciting new role for a Continuous Improvement Coordinator who ideally has qualifications or experience in the field of health and safety.

As the Continuous Improvement Coordinator, you will be reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager. More specifically, you will be responsible for the deployment and ongoing development of Continuous Improvement processes and the support of continuous improvement activities on the HPC Project.

The Continuous Improvement function provides the framework for the gathering, assessment and communication of lessons learnt on the HPC project, in addition to enabling compliance with Nuclear Site Licence Condition 7 (LC7). The Function underpins the EDF Energy Zero Harm principles by providing the administrative controls for identifying, recording, reporting, tracking, investigation, and

notification of events on site.

You will be instrumental in the day-to-day management of the project\'s incident/observation reporting software systems, including the ongoing support of the supply chain interface with the nominated systems.

What you\'ll be doing\xe2\x80\xa6

  • Administering Continuous Improvement process activities including identification, screening, investigation, quality reviews, and processing/publishing of Learning from Experience (OpEx) to share with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide the expertise and assurance to site management for reporting of events in accordance with Site Licence Condition 7 requirements.
  • Use and interpret data analysis tools, write trend reports, identify recommendation/actions for the site management team.
  • Provide guidance and be a focal point for Continuous Improvement matters. Support the coordination of benchmarking activities to ensure learning from within the project and from external sources is captured and actioned for the betterment of HPC;
  • Be the Secretary and/or Chair for the HPC Periodic Screening Meeting ensuring all preparation requirements are met and meeting outputs managed and processed;
  • Provide support to the Corrective Action Review Group as directed by the CI Manager;
  • Provide the connectivity and be the conduit for Continuous Improvement activities to other parts of the business and external locations.
Responsible for maintaining accurate data within the Site\'s Reporting database.

Who you are\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Proven ability to influence and drive adoption of Continuous Improvement practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills, coupled with attention to detail.
  • Familiar with working in a high hazard industry.
  • Have the ability to Work with enthusiasm and energy and can engage with people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Competent with using IT applications and databases.
  • Ability to work within a dynamic environment.
You background may include some of the following:
  • NEBOSH Award or higher, or similar Health and Safety qualification.
  • BTEC ONC/HNC or equivalent in Engineering/Construction discipline
  • Experience of using error reduction techniques
  • Understanding of Human Factors and Human Performance tools & techniques, especially in terms of the role they play within Near Misses and Incidents.
