Consumer Claims Paralegal - German Speaking

The purpose of a consumer paralegal at easyJet is to provide legal support to the management and coordination of consumer legal challenges that arise as a result of operational disruption.

As a paralegal in this role, you will be responsible for providing legal support to the management and coordination of consumer legal challenges from customers in Germany and Austria. Your primary focus will be on handling claims related to operational disruption, specifically delays and cancellations.

What you\'ll be doing

You will work closely with the legal advisor and external legal counsel to assess claims and determine which cases should be challenged. This will involve reviewing customer complaints, analysing relevant laws and regulations, and assessing the strength of each claim. You will also be responsible for keeping easyJet databases, systems, and reports up to date and ensuring that key data is disseminated across the business.

your primary responsibility will be to assist the German Legal advisor in managing legal claims related to delays and cancellations. This will include drafting documents, accessing operational systems to find and provide information, liaising with internal and external legal representatives, and providing necessary documentation to support legal representatives.

In addition, you will be responsible for providing general administrative support to the German Legal advisor, including managing document templates and ensuring timely payment of claims. You will also support easyJet\'s customer services team on EU 261 legislation and respond to consumer law inquiries from national regulatory and enforcement bodies.

What you\'ll bring to the team

To be successful in this role, you need to be able to speak German and should have strong ownership and delivery skills, be focused on delivering results, and be able to adapt plans as necessary. You should also have a good understanding of business performance, be able to build positive relationships with others, and have excellent communication skills. You should have a strong willingness to learn and have the drive to want to be successful.
