An exciting opportunity has arisen to join UHB Trust Hospitals for a full-time Consultant Urologist with a specialist interest in endourology.
The unit provides secondary care stone services including ureteroscopy, standard and mini PCNL to it's local population, as well as providing a tertiary complex stone and stricture service.
The department has a static lithotripter at Queen Elizabeth (QE) Hospital, which provides elective and hot lithotripsy services. The stone service is supported by a Stone CNS and a weekly endourology MDT for discussing complex cases.
We have recently acquired a Magento 150W laser and would be looking to start a HOLEP service, which it is hoped this post holder would be able to develop
The endourology department has a reputation for research and education with a track record of national and international publications and presentations. It would be anticipated that the applicant would contribute to this.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
