Discipline:

As a Consultant Rail Analyst in our Transport Advisory team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be making a positive, sustainable difference to our world whilst developing innovative approaches to drive efficiency and provide robust analysis of investment across the rail and wider transport sector. Your role will involve undertaking technical analysis and providing informed conclusions to support rail scheme development. Technical disciplines will include, but are not limited to, demand and revenue forecasting, economic appraisal and business case development. Our work is complex across high profile infrastructure projects and exciting local schemes, but everyone is up to the challenge. Collaborating with teams in the UK and abroad, your skills will be welcome in our mix. You\'ll also be trusted with more responsibility sooner, while supported to develop in a direction that suits you.

Your Purpose:

As part of our Transport Advisory team, you will join us in being committed to delivering our Business Plan. You will be responsible for:

Your day-to-day role will provide you with a positive challenge to utilise and develop your existing skillset.
  • You will be responsible for providing analysis and insight to support rail business case, demand forecasting and scheme appraisal using a range of industry standard and bespoke tools and techniques.
  • You will be part of our multidisciplinary teams focused on delivering high quality outputs for our clients.
  • You will prepare and deliver reports and presentations for a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will support the team to maintain high standards of quality assurance.
  • You will support business development and bidding activities.
  • You will be empowered and supported to continually develop yourself and those around you.
What You Can Bring?
  • A degree, equivalent qualification or relevant experience in a numeric or analytical field.
  • A post-graduate qualification would be advantageous.
  • Experience and in-depth understanding of the UK Rail Industry.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong report writing capability, with the ability to prepare and present information to a range of audiences.
  • Excellent numeracy skills to analyse and assure complex problems, combined with critical thinking to contextualise outputs and draw informed conclusions.
  • A proven track record of delivering high quality analysis to tight deadlines.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment combined with the drive and ability to work independently.
  • Technical experience in the tools and techniques associated with rail demand and revenue forecasting such as MOIRA, spreadsheet modelling, PDFH and TAG.
