Onshore Technical is recruiting on behalf of a key client for an experienced
Construction Manager
to support a major gas infrastructure project in
West Wales
. This role is critical to the successful delivery of complex asset health works and requires a highly competent professional with in-depth knowledge of the gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and coordination of site-based construction works including civil, mechanical, testing, and commissioning activities
Coordinate personnel, contractors, and site logistics in line with programme deliverables
Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with National Gas procedures and specifications
Work closely with the Project Manager to provide technical support, supervision, and progress updates
Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including client representatives and third-party contractors
Ensure strict adherence to
CDM regulations
, and all applicable
National Gas standards and guidance
, including
IGE/TD/13
Oversee all aspects of site delivery during a
tight 18-week schedule
, including a critical
10-week gas-off period
Provide strong customer liaison and ensure a collaborative approach to issue resolution
Essential Requirements:
10-15 years' experience
working on
National Gas infrastructure projects
, ideally including
AGI and PRS upgrades
Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate complex construction activities to strict timescales
In-depth understanding of
National Gas procedures and specifications
, particularly relating to
civils, mechanical, testing, and commissioning
Excellent working knowledge of
CDM Regulations
and industry best practices
Familiarity with
IGE/TD/13
Preferably a
Chartered Engineer
or with demonstrable
Project Management experience
Strong communication skills and experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
