Job Title: Temporary Construction/Housing Condition Surveyor

Job Summary:
We are looking for experienced individuals with a background in construction or housing to join our team on a temporary basis as a Condition Surveyor. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of various properties, evaluating their structural integrity, identifying maintenance or repair needs, and producing detailed reports. This is a short-term position lasting approximately three months, during which you will contribute to our ongoing property management and maintenance efforts.
Responsibilities:
Perform thorough on-site inspections of residential and commercial properties, assessing their condition and identifying any issues related to construction, maintenance, or structural integrity.
Utilise various tools and measurement equipment to evaluate the quality and functionality of building components, such as foundations, roofs, plumbing systems, electrical systems, HVAC systems, etc.
Document and photograph any defects, damages, or maintenance requirements discovered during inspections.
Evaluate compliance with applicable building regs, regulations, and safety standards.
Prepare detailed reports outlining the condition of each property, including a summary of findings, recommendations for repairs or maintenance, and estimated costs.
Collaborate with property owners, contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss inspection results, address concerns, and provide expert advice.
Assist in the development of maintenance plans and schedules based on survey findings, ensuring timely completion of necessary repairs or improvements.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards, building codes, and regulations to ensure accuracy and compliance in survey reports.
Adhere to established safety guidelines and practices while conducting inspections.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction, housing, or property management, particularly in conducting condition surveys or inspections.
In-depth knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and relevant codes and regulations.
Familiarity with inspection tools, equipment, and measurement instruments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing clear and comprehensive reports and effectively communicating with stakeholders.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in using digital tools and software for documentation and reporting purposes.
Physical fitness and ability to climb ladders, access confined spaces, and perform on-site inspections.
Note: A valid driver\'s license and access to reliable transportation may be required, as the role may involve travelling to different locations for inspections.
