My client in East London is looking for a full time Connected Persons Social Worker (based in the Permanency Service).

This busy team is experienced, highly supportive, friendly and enthusiastic about what they do. They work hard but also find time to celebrate achievements and good practice.

The Permanency Service works closely and cooperatively with colleagues within the Looked After Children and Children in Need Service, and with social workers and managers across Children\'s Services. The work is interesting, often complex and challenging but is crucial to achieving placement stability and permanence.

About the role:

The work includes supervision and support of Regulation 24 placements with prospective and approved family and friends foster carers. As well as working with professionals, the team around a child and partner agencies.

You will undertake a range of statutory duties within the Permanence Service in accordance with the Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Every Child Matters guidance, National Care Standards Act 2000, Adoption & Children Act 2002 and associated regulation and guidance, and National Minimum Fostering Standards 2011.

The successful candidate will:

Hold a Professional Social Work Qualification and be registered as a social worker with Social Work England. With a minimum of two years experience post qualification.
