P&G Cobalt Park in Newcastle upon Tyne is the home of P&G\xe2\x80\x99s Global Business Services organisation, we have an exciting and unique opportunity to join the team as an IT Support Specialist supporting on the expansion of a brand-new IT capability across Europe!

The Role

Time and Workforce Management is a recently established program to enable all P&G manufacturing sites globally to create agility and optimise their workforce planning, through a brand-new industry leading solution. In this role you\xe2\x80\x99ll work within the team responsible for the deployment of this new solution to support 26+ locations across Europe. This is a unique opportunity to participate in the establishment of a brand-new corporate capability, to gain extensive technical training & development and to join a supportive organization, committed to talent development.

Responsibilities of the Role

Technical configuration of the solution in proprietary language (based on Java Script and SQL)

Develop Technical Expertise to advise on best-in-class solution design.

Collaboration with Manufacturing sites to understand they\xe2\x80\x99re business requirements to advise on solution options as well as testing of the new configuration.

Development and implementation of configuration changes.

Opportunity to collaborate with Dev-Ops to establish regression testing.

Working collaboratively with colleagues both in Newcastle and around the globe to continuously improve our configuration skills and change management processes. This is still a new service and so there are many areas which need attention and definition.

Training and Exposure: You will become formally trained and externally certified to an in-depth level in the technology with exposure to management of IT Operations and experience of running IT Operations for a multinational company. There\xe2\x80\x99s opportunity in the longer term for external ITIL qualification.

Job Qualifications

What we look for

University Graduates- with a minimum of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, ideally in a computer science or similar subject

Interest in IT \xe2\x80\x93 Whilst we encourage students to apply who study a degree which involves Computer Science, we also encourage applications from applicants who have a real interest in pursuing a career in IT.

Experience with data management, process optimization and analytics tools (excel, Knime, word, SAP).

Project Management and measurement reporting experience helpful.

Customer Service Oriented.
